My husband and I got married the same week I graduated high school, nearly 14 years ago.  Other couples that have been together as long as we have, and started out so young, are some of our favorite people.  And they are also usually some of the funniest people we know.

Consider the following statement, by the husband in one such couple we know, when explaining why he started the coffee pot running without the carafe completely in the machine:

"Do not send a man who just got a blow job to do things."

Out with the Old

2012 was the year of being honest with myself about who I am and being unafraid to be exactly who I am, without apology.  It only took 31 years, but it was worth it.  I made tough decisions to remove people from my life who harmed my self-esteem and self worth.  I learned who my real friends are, and I made new friends I hope will be around for a long time.

Welcome, 2013.  I can't wait to see what happens next.
